Dear Friends and Colleagues,
As we face the COVID-19 pandemic, we are all realizing that the impact is not only health wise, but also emotional, psychological, social, and yes big time economic as well. At SAMBA we have an opportunity to support and encourage each other through this forum with encouraging thoughts as well as ideas, and experiences that proved useful in your lives and practices to mitigate these issues. So, I’m starting this new forum topic, to focus on these issues. Please share!
Please take a minute to update your profile on our website, with an e-mail, phone number and a photo, so as we can all link a face to the name when you post on this forum, thus it will make it easier for us to recognize each other when we meet at the next SAMBA conference, or any other anesthesiology conferences, to promote our unique community and networking.
As many of you have noticed, we have announced many new SAMBA initiatives lately, trying to give you a break from all the COVID-19 related communications, to get your mind off the negative news we are bombarded with; something to think about and entertain, like Fellow of the Society of Ambulatory Anesthesia (SAMBA-F) distinguished recognition status (https://sambahq.org/education-research/samba-f/) , SAMBA research grant, two new committees, Committee on Ambulatory Pediatric Anesthesia (CAPA) and Committee on Ophthalmologic Anesthesia (COA), etc… and was pleased to have received comments and emails from members interested in serving on these committees, and applying for the SAMBA-F status.
